Mutya ng Kagubatan (Lady of the Forest) is an ode to Mother Nature. Drawing from spiritual iconography in regional folklore, Jucar positions the central figure as a life-giving mother who sustains everything surrounding her—from the land to the waters.
Jucar is a sculptor based in Jaro, Iloilo. His work explores the relationship between people and their environments, examining how individuals interact with and shape the places they inhabit.
